The Blues

$350.00

The Blues

The blues crept in slowly, like the twilight that settles after a warm summer day, dimming everything to shades of quiet melancholy.

When the last suitcase was packed and they drove away, the house seemed so empty, so quiet.

Wandering from room to room, the spaces feeling so unfamiliar without their voice tangled in with all the daily activities.

It wasn’t sadness exactly, more like a deep, low ache- like the blue sky on the cusp of night, beautiful but heavy.

Everything felt rearranged, odd and out of sorts, as if life had taken on new shapes she hadn’t chosen.

Now the silence carried it’s own weight, and though she knew the ache would soften with time, the first few days felt like they were painted with the blues
