Raindrops

Take pause and take in the beauty of the ordinary, in the stillness, in the everyday moments that seem to pass us by for it is far too easy not to.

This collection is about capturing those moments that are gone again in a flash, moments that we find when we slow down and drown out the noise.

This year has been full of “Raindrops”. It has given me time to stop and take pause, to notice the droplets of rain that have landed on the leaves of the trees, beading up and making the most amazing magical little domes that sparkle when the sun hits them just right. How each drip and drop makes undulating rings that make the most spectacular ripples in the puddles in the street. How the rain has such a cleansing and calming effect, making for lazy days. Days spent snuggling inside with the kids and the dog just trying to soak up as much of them as I can.

I used to dislike having to go out on such wet days, but now I actually look forward to all the hidden gems that the rain leaves in its midst.
